Rich Francis visits the Inuvialuit community of Inuvik, NWT, where he's eager to learn one of the more unique food sources harvested on Turtle Island- Canada's national animal- the Beaver! He will visit with Elder Big John Jerome, once an avid trapper and one of the only Elders in town who still prepares Beaver the traditional way. He will also visit with local trapper Doug Esagok, who still traps Beaver for its meat and pelts. He will join them for a meal of Beaver tail, the preferred cut of the Beaver's meat, and learn how this food source has complimented the Inuvialuit's diet throughout their centuries on the Delta. Doug will take Rich out to the estruaries of the MacKenzie River, to learn the process involved in trapping the Beaver, which requires a solid understanding of the animal's habits; and lots of patience. Big John and Doug will teach Rich about the history and relevance of Beaver to the Inuvialuit of the Beaufort Delta and the various ways this animal is harvested and prepared. With his culinary imagination sparked by the flavours found along the Delta, Rich brings his new learnings to the firepit, inspired to create some new and exciting Beaver dishes for everyone to enjoy, including the viewers at home.

THE STINKY MILK MYSTERY: When Bother and Sister accidentally allow Farmer Ben's cows to get loose from their pen, his farm dog helps herd them back and the cubs decide not to tell Farmer Ben, afraid he won't invite them back for another visit. However when the cows' milk mysteriously turns sour, the cubs fear that something must have happened when the cows were loose and that they're responsible. Now they're doubly afraid to tell the truth. Twigging that something is up, Papa casually tells the cubs a story about how he once made things a lot worse when he didn't fess up to something he did. That's enough to help the cubs make the right decision and they race off back to Farmer Ben's and tell him what happened. Farmer Ben is pleased they told the truth and that they've learned their lesson and the cubs are relieved to find that the cows are fine. Their milk only went sour because they must have eaten onion weed when they were out of the pen.

Rich Francis visits the Inuvialuit community of Inuvik, NWT, where he's eager to learn one of the more unique food sources harvested on Turtle Island- Canada's national animal- the Beaver! He will visit with Elder Big John Jerome, once an avid trapper and one of the only Elders in town who still prepares Beaver the traditional way. He will also visit with local trapper Doug Esagok, who still traps Beaver for its meat and pelts. He will join them for a meal of Beaver tail, the preferred cut of the Beaver's meat, and learn how this food source has complimented the Inuvialuit's diet throughout their centuries on the Delta. Doug will take Rich out to the estruaries of the MacKenzie River, to learn the process involved in trapping the Beaver, which requires a solid understanding of the animal's habits; and lots of patience. Big John and Doug will teach Rich about the history and relevance of Beaver to the Inuvialuit of the Beaufort Delta and the various ways this animal is harvested and prepared. With his culinary imagination sparked by the flavours found along the Delta, Rich brings his new learnings to the firepit, inspired to create some new and exciting Beaver dishes for everyone to enjoy, including the viewers at home.

Walter Littlemoon attended a federal Indian boarding school in South Dakota sixty years ago. The mission of many of these schools in 1950, was still to "kill the Indian and save the man." The children were not allowed to be Indians - to speak their language or express their culture or native identity in any way at the risk of being severely beaten, humiliated or abused. What effects did these actions cause? Many Indians, like Walter, lived with this unresolved trauma into adulthood, acting it out through alcoholism and domestic violence. At age 58, Walter decided to write and publish his memoirs as a way to explain his past abusive behaviors to his estranged children. But dealing with the memories of his boarding school days nearly put an end to it. "The Thick Dark Fog" tells the story of how Walter confronted the "thick dark fog" of his past so that he could renew himself and his community.

Claims between the United States and the Marshall Islands are ongoing, and the health effects have created a legacy that still lingers from these tests. A New Island is a documentary about the displaced people of this region who have immigrated to Springdale, Arkansas. They come for better jobs, education, and health care. And they come legally.
